Youth programs give elementary students the opportunity to be part of a diverse after-school or summer care program that teaches children leadership, friendship, and life skills.
Want more out of High 5? Use a Club!
High 5 after-school students have the option to participate in a variety of Kids Clubs at no additional cost. All club curriculum is tied to Sunshine State Standards. These extracurricular clubs are intended to fill learning gaps and develop personal interests and hobbies. Registration for clubs is on a first-come, first-served basis. Clubs cannot be filled past maximum capacity.
Kitchen Korner. Kids get “hands-on” experience in learning how to use basic cooking tools, read nutrition labels, follow recipes, and explore foods from all around the world. It’s great practice at making perfect meals!
Arts & Crafts. Students cut, paint, paste, and mold original works that stir the imagination. Instruction in various artistic techniques and methods come standard. The extraordinary results are a special bonus!
LEGO-LAND. Participants find inspiration in real-world math and science challenges, and work independently and collaboratively to solve them using LEGO building blocks. After-school education really clicks at High 5!
Green Thumbs. There’s a common path that food travels from farm-to-table, but it’s not always common knowledge. Gardening can be dirty work. But, always a lot of fun. High 5 students dig-in from the ground up!
Community Service. There are important lessons in giving the gift of time and energy to a cause. The ability to problem-solve and lead others to accomplish a goal is something that can be taught. High 5 makes the grade!
High 5 also partners with local businesses to teach the “tools of the trade” in construction and in the fundamentals of building, leadership, and teamwork.
