Students decorate paper plates to make wreaths for the upcoming Easter Day.
The Culinary Club at Kingswood get cooking by making rainbow grilled cheese sandwiches. They learned about melting temps and color changes.
Stowers BSAC Community Club went on a field trip to the local USPS office to tour their facility. They also spoke to postmaster Aaron about his day to day activities. It was such an eye opening experience for the young Stowers kids and they learned so many new things about the USPS Office.
Today, the students in the Community Club at Stowers wrote thank you cards for police officers. Not only did they write thank you cards, but they also made goody bags for the officers to take with them. Officers were ecstatic at the kids efforts.
Stowers Culinary Club had a great time making Rainbow Grilled Cheese Sandwiches. The students were hands on with dying their cheese different colors using food coloring, buttering their breads and grilling each sandwich to perfection. To top it off we added a little bit of sprinkles to the top of the sandwich to make it extra yummy!
Our Stowers Community Club has put together their First Annual Canned Food Drive! For the month of April the students are collecting non-perishable canned goods to donate to The ECHO of Brandon. To step it up a notch, the students in community club have created a challenge between grades. The grade to have the most cans collected at the end of the month will receive a special gift from the club.
Today, the Culinary club made breakfast burritos. The burritos were made with bell peppers, eggs, shredded cheese, salt and pepper, wrapped in a tortilla. Students were also taught how to sauté peppers and scramble eggs.
