Brandi Hooper
Brandi HooperDirector of B.A.S.E.

Brandi studied Elementary Education at the University of South Florida and earned Directors Credentials through the Department of Children and Families.  She has participated in the education of young minds for the past 15 years including teaching VPK at BSAC.

Brandi has been involved in the community as a Board Member, youth soccer coach, and team parent. She has three children with her husband of 17 years and enjoys watching her family participate in extra-curricular activities.

“BSAC’s B.A.S.E. program provides an opportunity for your child to have different experiences in activities such as Culinary, Robotics, Sports, Community Service, Art, and Dance all while connecting them with the community around them and learning valuable life skills such as leadership, cooperation, and problem-solving.  Our goal is to impact their lives and to teach them how they can impact others.” – Brandi

For the past eight years, Kara has been working with children. For the past three years, she has been at Fishhawk and loves watching each of the children grow. Her favorite way to keep the students motivated is with the BASE star student of the week program. She explained that each child is motivated in a different way so positive behavior should never go unnoticed. Which is why the BASE star student of the week program is so beneficial. Her future plans include finishing her degree in special education at USF and to continue working at BSAC for a long time.

Shannon Hickie
Shannon HickieKingswood Site Director

When Shannon started as the Site Director at Kingswood Elementary she was no stranger to BSAC. She began working for BSAC when she was just 14 years old. Since then she has held a number of different positions. When she finished her degree in Humanities from Florida State University she decided to move back to the area to serve as site director. Shannon enjoys working with the kids and motivating them to be their best selves every single day! In her free time you can find Shannon spending time with her dog. In the future, Shannon plans to become a business owner herself and open a dog friendly coffee shop that is open until late!

Felicia Hansrha
Felicia HansrhaCluster Director

Felicia has been with BSAC since 2017. She started off as a Counselor and has moved up to the Cluster Director and oversees three schools, Brooker, Kingswood, and Lithia Springs. Felicia earned her Associate’s degree in medical. She is happily married and is a dog mom! She enjoys spending quality time with her family and actively participate’s in a car club.

The kids would describe her as energetic and motivational. She ensures that they feel good about themselves and reminds them to always be themselves. Her favorite activity to participate in with them is arts and crafts.

Felicia said, “I enjoy watching the kids express their creativity.” She is excited to work and grow in her career with BSAC. She is optimistic and looks forward to being apart of the growth and opportunities that BSAC has to offer!

Jordan
JordanKingswood Counselor

Jordan began at BSAC after a family friend who was firmiliar with the program reccomended it to her because of her love for children. Growing up, Jordan spent countless hours working with kids at the daycare that her aunt ran. The students love her positive mindset and the jokes that she tells them everyday. In the future, Jordan plans to move out of Florida and finish her degree in architecture!

Isiah
IsiahKingswood Counselor

Isiah decided to become a counselor at BSAC after his older brother, who held the same position, encouraged him to apply! Throughout his life Isiah has been working with the kids at his church. This is why he was sure that being a counselor was going to be such a great opportunity for him. His favorite part about being a counselor is that he gets to run around and have fun with the children during outside time! In the future, Isiah plans to finish his associate degree at HCC then transfer to Southeastern University in Lakeland.

Gabrielle
GabrielleKingswood Counselor

For her entire life, Gabrielle has loved to help people. This is why when the opportunity of becoming a counselor presented itself to her she jumped at the chance! Her love for working with children began because of her interest in taking care of her younger brother. She begins each activity at BSAC by trying her best to make sure each student is interested and paying attention. In the future, Gabrielle plans to finish her degree in Psychology in Colorado and become a psychological counselor.

Calvin
CalvinKingswood Runner

For the past few months Calvin has served as the runner at Kingswood Elementary. He decided to apply for the opportunity because of his past experience working with kids. He has grown up with three younger sisters that he spends countless hours babysitting and just hanging out with. Outside of work you can find Calvin doing a number of outdoor activities including scuba diving, fishing, baseball and anything else that requires him to be outside. After he graduates from high school, Calvin plans to attend flight school and become a pilot!
