We are delighted to welcome seven new after-school mentors to the BSAC team! Join us during winter break for snowball fights, bobsled scooter relays, swimming, ornament making, and other festive games & crafts!

Pollination Crafts at Stowers Elementary
Today the students at Stowers learned about pollination! They learned all about the importance of bees within our environment! After the lesson, each of the students got to decorate a photo of a bee to be displayed at the school!
Halloween Door Decor at Stowers
To celebrate Halloween the students at Stowers Elementary designed a Halloween themed door mural! The mural read “Happy Halloween from BSAC!” and students got to incorporate spooky bats and pumpkins they created!
Creating Tin Foil Sculptures at Stowers
By using tin foil and clay the students at Stowers Elementary and their friends were able to practice mimicking Giacometti’s minimalist style. Students designed then created their own 3-dimensional models of themselves. To achieve the minimalist style the students based their designs off stick figures they drew before they began.
Practicing Basketball at Stowers
Students at Stowers Elementary practiced their basketball skills during outdoor time today. The students practiced shooting the ball into the hoop from different spots on the court as well as dribbling!
Decorating Cookies like Matisse at Stowers
The BASE students at Stowers Elementary learned about artist Henry Matisse today. After the lesson students skillfully placed fruit roll-ups and frosting on cookies to create edible art inspired by Matisse. Students enjoyed making their cookies but eating them was even more fun!
Spooktacular Parent’s Night Out
Join us for a Spooktacular evening of fun! This parent’s night out event will include pizza, swimming, costumes, and activities for ages 5-14.

Arts & Crafts Picasso Clay Faces at Stowers
Today, to begin the activity and gain a better understanding of what they were instructed to create the students learned a great deal about Pablo Picasso and his establishment of Cubism art. Cubism art was explained as a new way to see different objects. The students then used clay to model their own cubism self-portrait. After they finished each of the students proudly showed off their own masterpieces and got to take them home. This activity allowed the students to create a piece of art while also expanding their
