BSAC’s 11th Annual Casino Night Raises Over $63,000 for Scholarships

Over 450 local business leaders and community members attended BSAC’s Annual Casino Night on Friday, March 29th, and boy, what a night it was! BSAC was able to raise over $63,000 in scholarship support for families in need of financial assistance. These children will now be able to participate in programs including swim lessons, summer camp, after-school, TRIDENT (special needs programming) and many of our other great programs.

Our BSAC family thanks you for your amazing support of our Casino Royale fundraiser, held Feb. 17 at The Regent. It was great to meet and greet with our BSAC family, friends, and supporters, to ensure all children, regardless of family income, can avail themselves of our rich and varied programs, including TRIDENT, tennis, After-School All-Stars, and Blue Wave Swimming.

Judy Moore’s son, Nathan, in the fall of 2000, started a tennis program for intellectually disabled athletes, for community service hours at Jesuit High School of Tampa. Judy helped out the first year, then took over the program when her son went off to college. Some 17 years later, close to 100 athletes continue to attend Tennis For Fun clinics, held weekly on court space donated by the nonprofit Brandon Sports and Aquatic Center, committed to impacting lives daily.
